Ministries

Serving

At Mt. Horeb we believe that because our lives have been reconciled to God in Christ and set free from sin and death, in Christ we are given the grace and strength to be ministers of reconciliation, mercy, and justice here in our community and in the world. Below you will see several of the ministries in which we seek to love and serve.

Serving the Community
Valley Mission
The Valley Mission is a Christian non-profit organization in Staunton working to offer shelter, food, and support to those who are homeless or suffer from low-income. We support Valley Mission by preparing and serving meals for our friends who are residents there as well as by collecting needed items.

Cardinal House
Cardinal House is an assisted living group home in Waynesboro. Mt. Horeb seeks to share joy and love with the residents of Cardinal House by visiting them to share in games, snacks, and fellowship. These visits take place several times during the year through the leadership of the Presbyterian Women.

Serving the World
Service/Learning Trip
Summerlee is an annual service and learning trip to Fayette County, in West Virginia. Mt. Horeb partners with several other churches in our area to provide home renovation services to those in need.

Baja Mission
The Baja Mission Trip is a joint ministry of the congregations of the Presbytery of Shenandoah, PC(USA). Each year a team is sent from the churches to learn how Christ is there at work by his Spirit, to join in that work, and to witness the love of Christ in Baja, Mexico, through house building, mission outreach, and fellowship.

PC(USA) Mission Co-Workers
Through prayer and financial giving we support Presbyterian Mission Co-Workers who serve the Church around the world. Information on the Co-Workers we support is always available at
